Specialties
I offer individual, couples, and group teletherapy services for a wide array of presenting concerns. Although I am trained and comfortable working with a variety of emotional and mental health concerns, my specialties are listed below.

Anxiety
Do you find yourself constantly worried? Do you imagine worse case scenarios? Do you frequently doubt yourself and your abilities? Do you experience muscle tension, trouble sleeping, and feelings of being on edge? Have you experienced a panic attack? Do these feelings interfere with your daily activities and leave you feeling exhausted and overwhelmed? Perhaps you have tried everything to calm your mind, yet nothing seems to work. If anxiety feels like it’s controlling your life, therapy can be a highly effective treatment.
I am well-versed in a number of anxiety management and mindfulness techniques and have considerable experience working with clients to help them identify and modify patterns of thinking and behavior that may be impacting their distress.

Trauma Recovery
My professional experience includes years of working with survivors of various types of trauma. It is not at all uncommon for survivors to avoid feelings associated with their traumatic experience. They often hope the feelings will simply go away and they will be able to eventually move on. This type of avoidance may work temporarily yet painful memories, unresolved feelings, and difficulties with coping tend to resurface over time.
Through therapy, we will work together to redefine your trauma as one chapter of your life rather than something that defines you indefinitely. Sharing your story in a safe and non-judgmental space will allow you to heal from unresolved pain, better understand the impact of your trauma, and learn new ways to cope in order to feel secure and whole again.

Women's Issues
Women often find themselves juggling no less than what feels like a million different tasks and priorities on any given day. We are constantly managing multiple roles which may include partner, wife, parent, employee, student, sister, daughter, supervisor, mentor.…the list is endless.
On top of these demands, we may also be dealing with our own issues such as depression, anxiety, or unresolved trauma. It is enough to make even the most resilient woman feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and full of self-doubt. As a working mother who raised two daughters, I am intimately familiar with the struggle to simply keep your head above water while trying to figure out what’s for dinner.
Women often seek therapy to find a supportive and non-judgmental space where they can be “real” about their feelings, their exhaustion, and the genuine desire for change. I invite you to use therapy as a place to share your experiences, gain support and perspective, and develop new ways to fulfill your many responsibilities while also reconnecting with yourself in a way that is affirming and empowering.

Young Adults
Remember when turning 18 and leaving home sounded like the best plan ever? Well, like many of us, you have likely discovered that adulting can be hard!
Whether it be adjusting to the highs and lows of college life, landing that first job, or trying to establish yourself in a career, it may feel like no one quite prepared you for all the unexpected challenges. Having worked in a university setting for many years, I have considerable experience working with young adults as they navigate the uncertainty of discovering themselves, exploring relationships, and coming into their own as an adult.

Leadership Development
Being a leader can be incredibly rewarding yet also endlessly challenging. You may receive accolades when things are going well but are also held accountable when difficulties arise. The weight of responsibility can be exhausting and take the joy out of your work.
Perhaps you are a new leader struggling to embrace your legitimate power. If you are in middle management, you may find yourself torn between advocating for your team while also answering to the leaders above you. Or maybe you are ultimately responsible for the success of your organization in your role as owner, CEO, or president.
Regardless of your role, it is not uncommon for those in leadership roles to experience periods of self-doubt, confusion, and burn-out. As a therapist with extensive management and leadership experience, I am able to offer a unique perspective as well as practical solutions to help you embrace your talents and reconnect with your purpose as a leader.

LGBTQ+ Issues
LGBTQ+ individuals may experience a variety of stressors including the coming out process, finding community, harassment/discrimination, loneliness and family tensions. It can be difficult to find spaces where you are affirmed, understood, and supported along your journey. If you chose to pursue therapy, it is essential to work with an experienced and knowledgeable professional who understands the importance of intersecting identities and the impact of social stigma on your growth and development.
In addition to my areas of specialty, I also work with individuals presenting with a variety of other issues including:
